A suite of three traditional sea shanties for string orchestra, composed for the string musicians of Rockport High School, Rockport, Massachusetts, and their director, Nathan Cohen. O Shennandoah is included because it is a maritime song, sung by mariners who were plying the waters of great rivers of the plains. This recording is a computer realization.
