My Tears is based upon, Mein Traurens ist, a part-song by Paulus Hofhaimer (1459-1537), a composer at the court of Maximillian I.  My Tears was composed for mezzo soprano Jenny Lind Larsen and the Macalester College Symphony Orchestra conducted by Edouard Forner.
