Over the Bounding Main is a suite of 3 maritime songs with New England origins. The suite was composed for the student musicians of Rockport, MA, High School and their director, Anthony Covelli. “Bound for the Rio Grande” (a place in South America), and “Maid of Amsterdam” are both songs to be sung by sea marinars; “Bold Riley” is woman’s farewell to her man, or perhaps, her son.
