American Angels, (Prairie Trio #5), has 5 movements: Allegro Nervoso, Espressivo, With a Lilt, Lento Doloroso, and Marziale. Originally composed for flute, mandolin and viola, the piece makes more sense to me in the present version. The original score (FMV) is included here. The recording is a computer realization.
Most of the movements are re-workings of some of the incidental music for Angels in America, composed for viola and cello duo.
