These 5 short pieces are intended to be “beginner pieces,” although they are not as easy as I intended. Two were written with my daughter, Elizabeth, in mind, and a third, Pensive, was a Christmas present to my son, Alexander. The titles of the pieces are: Solfegio, Pensive, Liz’s Gamalan, Scene, and Liz’s Trill. All the pieces, along with 8 others, are included in a set of short piano pieces called Excursions.
