FOUR TENORS is bit of humorous play on the recent “3 Tenors” touring shows and a play on the role of the “Tenor” in music. While the tenor singer is often the hero in operas, and the most important male voice in choral music, the tenor recorder is mostly an “also-ran” in the recorder consort, usually given the role of filling out the texture and the harmonies. My three movements offer tenor recorder players the opportunity to shine in their own rights. We 4 performers wore tux jackets to emphasize our importance! Enjoy!
Three movements: 1. Tenors take the Spotlight 2. Crooning Tenors 3. Dancing Tenors
