Icarus Flies was composed for and dedicated to James Hainlen and the Stillwater Area High School Orchestra.  The inspiration for the piece is taken from poetry of the same title by James Hainlen.  The movements are: Labyrinth, Anticipation, Defiance, and Freedom.  Dennis Lindsey is the soloist in the recording with the Stillwater HS Orchestra.  The “parts” included on this site is a copy of the Alto solo with piano reduction.  Orchestra parts are available on request.
