Shades of Wood is a guitar duet inspired by types of wood used in the construction of fine guitars. The movement titles are: 1. Cedar; 2. Rosewood; 3. Cocobolo. The duet was composed in 2014 for a duo in Minnesota that ceased playing together before performance was possible. The second movement received a 2017 performance in California from Anthony DeMers and his student.
