String City is a set of three movements: Cool, Bob, and R&B. Each movement was originally written for sax quartet and are found in that form in 4 SAXES. In the string quartet version two soloing opportunities have been added in the 2nd movement, Bop. The title reflects the urban atmosphere exuded by the music.
