NOT MAN APART was commissioned by New Music Works for a performance in the Spring of 2020; Covid got in the way and it remains un performed. The commission was to create a work using the poety of Carmel poet, Robinson Jeffers. I choose excerpts from his many poems that spoke to the unity and beauty of man and the natural world, one not apart from the other.
The audio file is a computer realization with all the drawbacks of a computer program badly imitating the human voice.
